The fundamentals of iThought as an organisation rely on critical and independent thinking. The organisation is a strong advocate for translating one's independent thought into action thereby helping to make a more long lasting and positive impact. The plethora of work and initiatives on children issues, women's issues, tribals, people living in urban and conflict areas are just some of the opportunities in the human rights sphere that we provide public spirited citizens to partake in.
Our efforts are concentrated towards the rights and issues of children with special emphasis on the cause of the girl child who we sincerely believe has a long way to find their foothold as an equal in our country, women as individuals and global makers are yet to receive their due in this patriarchal society; tribals living on the fringes of mainstream are getting sidelined each day; governance at the grassroots level suffer from lack of information and a fear hierarchy. iThought strives to create awareness and spread information within these communities as well as promote and encourage public participation and engagement on their issues. As an interested and spirited individual, you will find here an initiative that reflects what you stand for as a person and a platform to make a valuable contribution.
Our initiatives that focus on the aforementioned issues include:
Centre for Child Rights Law & Policy
Girl Child Rights Initiative
Human Rights Education
iThought2Act (Internship and Volunteer Programme)
Promoting Critical Thinking
Public Interest Litigation
iThought believes that a ideas emerge when like-minded individuals get together, discuss, debate and engage. These ideas when implemented serve as a catalyst to increasing awareness and bringing about a change in society.
