Center for Child Rights Law & Policy

Children are the main focus of the work we do. They are in a way the essence of our organisation. Our past and present work highlights the same and our future works too will reflect the special place children that hold in the organisation. Every child matters irrespective of gender, age, geographical location or setting - rural, urban, tribal, construction sites, the streets, abandoned, victims of disaster, etc.

The Centre for Child Rights Law and Policy is a Resource Centre for all things related to child rights - understanding the rights of the child, the laws, policies, acts, schemes, etc made to protect those rights, the mechanisms available and the promotion and protection of child rights.

iThought not only undertakes work in collaboration and with the support of other organisations, agencies and governments; but even internally within the organisation, we ensure that the rights of children are protected. This can be understood through our Child Protection Policy, publications, posters, pamphlets, workshops, training, online information and making resources available for all.

Our commitment to the cause of children through the Centre for Child Rights Law & Policy can be further seen on the posters of our 2nd National Legal Essay Competition. The front side is a poster with information on the competition and the reverse side has details of the Child Welfare Committee - its power, role, scope, functions and principles. Therefore when the deadline of the competition has passed, the poster can be flipped over and will serve as a means of spreading information on the CWC.
