Independent Thought is a leading technical resource organization in India working at the intersection of child rights, gender justice, human rights, and public systems strengthening. With a strong foundation in research, policy, and capacity building, we support the government, UN agencies, and civil society partners to design, strengthen, and institutionalize rights-based frameworks and programmes.

Founder's Message
Independent Thought focuses on the "happy childhood" of Children from a legal lens based on the principles enshrined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and Constitution of India. We believe that Best Interest of Children is paramount and touchstone for all policy and sustainable development and equity & their voices must be respected in Best Interest.

The Buddha’s quest for ‘Nirvana’ focusing on personal spiritual development and the attainment of Enlightenment - epitomizing the concept of Independent Thinking.
The letter “i” for "Independent" signifying an individual and a complete word, and “Thought” represents the philosophy that the Thought is always greater than an Individual.
The concept and design was developed by Creative team of Artist Rakesh Jha and Founder, Vikram Srivastava.
